On April 17th and April 18th, the 5th grade SOAR21 students organized Penny Wars, a fundraiser to raise funds for Water for South Sudan. Water for South Sudan is an organization that builds wells for people in South Sudan, as people there have to walk all day just to get water for their families, and so the wells allow the girls who get the water to spend their time getting an education, instead of retrieving water.
The goal for the Penny Wars fundraiser was to raise $1,000, but we raised $3669.82! Thanks to the generosity of the students, parents, and faculty members of EHB, we managed to donate more than 3x the money we intended! With your help, we are able to help those people in South Sudan get the clean water they deserve.
