Caught Being Kind

Our students at EHB in grades 3-5 were able to attend an assembly given by Dr. Mykee Fowlin, who speaks on the importance of treating others with respect and how to create a school community that allows all students to have a sense of belonging. The students were able to engage with Dr. Fowlin and each other in the assembly to start an important dialogue amongst each other. After the assembly concluded we launched our “Catching Kindness” initiative. In the weeks leading up to Winter Break students who were caught being kind and going above and beyond the typical expectation had their name placed on the wall.  Each of these students received a culminating experience as a thank you for helping to build our school community into a place of acceptance and goodwill.
