Cresskill School District will be closed tomorrow, February 24th, due to the extremely high volume of snow requiring additional time for removal to ensure safe arrival of students and staff to school. We look forward to reopening on Wednesday, February 25th on a normal schedule.

The Cresskill Board of Education needs your help as we begin the search for our next Superintendent of Schools! We look forward to your participation in our live input sessions on Tuesday, October 21 (see previous update, below) and we are also pleased to offer a completely confidential online input survey for all of our District stakeholders.

Please take a few moments to thoughtfully participate in this brief survey, which is being wholly administered by our Search Consultant, KHEC LLC, not the school district. All responses are anonymous and will be shared with the Board to determine the suitability of the candidates for the position, and to formulate interview questions.

The survey will close at 11:59pm on Wednesday, October 22.

We will be sending a test message tomorrow, October 1. Please ensure that all contacts are updated in Genesis this evening and the district app is installed in order to receive emergency notifications. This test will help ensure our messaging services are configured properly and can be effectively used for emergency communication.

Congratulations to the Cresskill Board of Education, who were recognized last evening by the New Jersey School Board Association for their dedication and training in reaching the honor of becoming a Certified Board.

Due to safety concerns and recent damage caused by student use of e-bikes, we will no longer permit e-bikes and electric scooters on or around our athletic fields or in crowded areas. Please note that the police have been asked to help enforce this on our school property. Safety of our staff and students continues to be our focus. Thank you!

Thank you to the CEF for the donation of $26,222.69 to fund teacher projects and grants to enhance our classrooms. Their hard work and dedication has been an integral part of our schools for the last 35 years.

This Thursday is Juneteenth, a day commemorating June 19, 1865, the first time in history when the ENTIRE country was free! Cresskill Cares is hosting a fundraiser next week on April 29th where 25% of food purchases placed through the Wonder app will go back to Cresskill Cares to help families with food insecurity in our community. Cresskill Cares is an active partner with our schools and helps to ensure no student goes hungry during the year.
